Created In His Image

" God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them"(Genesis 1:26,27).

The pain of being a woman in today’s world is seen in the eyes of women across this nation. Thoughts of unworthiness, failure, guilt, shame and fear continually bombard us while television, film, literature and art depict us as sexual objects. Thus we calculate our worth according to the world’s standards; our physical appearance, our material wealth and our marital status. We have subconsciously allowed these false images to infiltrate our thoughts, storing them in our brains to rise up in our insecure moments to scream out the lie "we are not good enough". This causes us to become double minded and unstable in all our ways.

Freedom and stability comes when you confront the lies that say you are not good enough and begin the process of replacing them with what God says about you. As you let go of mental mindsets that attempt to dictate to you who you are, you loosen the chains that hold you bondage and healing begins. God wants you to rise above this false image and walk in His image. You are not to conform to the image of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind into His image. " Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you] {1} " (Romans 12:2, Amplified). As you walk in the truth of His image you find the power that changes you. God’s nature is there already inside of you, waiting for you to release it. The seed of His spirit lies dormant, until you allow Him to wake you up to who you are in Him and allow His power to change you.

The keys to change your life are in your hands and you don’t have to feel burdened by every problem that comes your way, but you can conquer those problems with the power of His spirit enabling you far beyond what you hoped for. "Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super-adundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires thoughts, hopes, or dreams] " (Ephesians 3:20, Amplified). God wants to do more than touch you He wants to heal your emotional pain and reveal to you who you are, a woman of worth, value and substance.
