God’s Love

 “But God! So rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation)” (Ephesians 2:4, 5, Amplified).

Do you live with a hidden fear God is angry with you?  Do you fear you do not measure up to God’s expectations of you?  Do you believe you are totally displeasing to God or unworthy of His love?  I know for a good portion of my life I thought the very same thing.  But what a wrong concept of God that is, nothing could be farther from the truth.  Scripture says, God has a wonderful intense love for us, He is merciful and kind toward us and He has imparted to us the very life of Christ.

God is not angry with you nor do you displease Him because of something you may have done or had done to you.  God sees you in Christ whole and complete.  God sees you as the person He purposed you to be.  He sees you as righteous, holy, blameless, pure, priest, king, victorious, conqueror, everything Christ is you are.  “In this [union and communion with Him] love brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of  judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17, Amplified).

You can rest assured in the fact that God loves you and He truly cares.You do not have to fear every time you stumble in your walk with God, He will not turn His back on you.Before you breathe your first breath you were forgiven of sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and made alive in Him. Could God have expressed His love towards you any greater than this?
