You Can Not Fail

 "Love never fails .." (1Corinthians 13:8)

The love of God never fails, such a simple statement but what does it really mean? Looking at this in the Greek we see it has a deeper meaning. Love never...(no not at any time, never at all,) fails...(to drop away, to be driven off of ones course, to loose or become ineffective).

Though circumstances and feelings try to make us believe we have "missed God" this verse tells me we can not get off course, we can not fail, we can not drop away, we can not become ineffective. God has set a course for each of our lives, He knew before we were formed in our mother’s womb the plans and purposes we were designed for. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; ....." "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jeremiah 1:5; 29:11 Amplified).

I John 4:8 says that God is Love, love is not a feeling it is a person. God who is love lives in you. The life of God that is love will not allow you to fail. What a freeing thought, He has placed His life in you so you can not fail. No matter what happens His love will always cause you to succeed. No matter what you do, what comes your way, His love will never fail, and that unfailing love is directing your life.

So when feelings, memories from the past, circumstances try to drive you off the course God has set before you, remember His Love never fails. Allow the Love of the Father to embrace you today with this truth.
