Valued and Loved

" So He told this parable: What man of you, if he has a hundred sheep and should lose one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness (desert) and go after the one that is lost until he finds it?  And when he has found it, he lays it on his [own] shoulders, rejoicing.  And when he gets home, he summons together [his] friends and [his] neighbors, saying to them, rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep which is lost” (Luke 15: 3-6, Amplified).

I wonder how many of those listening to this parable on that day wiped away a tear or two because they knew how it felt to be lost, an outcast.  How about you?  Do you at times feel lost, an outcast or that your life has no meaning?  Jesus came into this world not only to give His life but also to show us the Father heart of God.  He demonstrated by His actions the love the Father has for us all regardless of our race, gender, status, or position.  We are all valued and loved by Him; no one is unimportant or useless in His sight .

Perhaps you are in a lot of pain as you are reading this and thinking, “everyone would be better off without me”.  But God says no! “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”(Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).  We all have moments of feeling lost as if wandering in a desert, but it is during these times we must put our faith in Him.

Trust that God knows where you are and He will take you in His loving arms to where we need to be.
