God Has Everything Under Control

“But I trusted in, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God.  My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me” (Psalm 31:14,15, Amplified).

Have you ever cried out to the Lord, “God, nothing is happening?” “Where are you?” “Are you there?” “Do you hear me?”  I believe we all have when we felt life wasn’t going as we supposed or changing as fast as we hoped.  But here in this passage of scripture David expresses his belief that all of life’s circumstances are under God’s control.  There is nothing that befalls us in this life God is not aware of and is working out for our good.  Romans 8:28 says, “We assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”  This reminds me of Joseph and all he suffered by the hands of his brothers when he said in Genesis 45:4, 5, 8, “And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me, I pray you. And they did so.  And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt!  But now, do not be distressed and disheartened or vexed and angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to preserve life. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God;…”

Knowing that God is in control should help us to remain steady in faith regardless of our circumstances.  We should never think that God’s delays are God’s denials, because His timing is not our timing, but being assured it is always perfect. We should never become impatience when change does not take place as rapidly as we expect in our selves, others or situations surrounding us. We should keep in mine the things done in evil toward us, God turns into good.

God alone is fully aware of the circumstances needed in your life to make you strong.  He also knows what needs to be done in your hearts to bring to fulfillment the plan and purpose He has ordained for you.  So commit yourself fully to His care because in so doing you will find that He has everything under control.
