God Already Knows

“O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thought afar off.  You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways” (Psalms 139:1-3, Amplified).

Isn’t awesome to know that God knows us personally. Think about it, there is nothing about you or in your life He isn’t aware of.  Matthew 10:30 even tells us that, He knows the very number of hairs we have on our head.  So, why do we spend so much time trying to hide from Him?  He knows our imperfections, inconsistencies, failures, doubts and fears. He knows what we do, how we feel and what we think, and none of this changes His love for us.

God knows everything there is to know about you and it does not stop Him from loving you because He loves unconditionally.  There is absolutely nothing you or I can confess to God that will overwhelm Him or take Him by surprise. God wants us to come to Him boldly, laying it all at His feet because He understands.  “For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.  Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it” (Hebrews 4: 15,16, Amplified).

When we come to God we can have full assurance we are loved, accepted and forgiven.
