Experience God's Peace
“Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself-it tends only to evildoing. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord [in the end] shall inherit the earth” (Psalm 37:8, 9, Amplified).
Anger and worry are two very destructive emotions. To allow these emotions to control us only reveals the lack of faith we have in God’s love and His ability to work all things out for the good (Romans 8:28).
We should not worry but instead trust God and yield our lives to Him for His safe keeping. Anger and worry will only keep you tied in knots and limit the joy and peace you will experience in your life. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to you, leans on You, and hopes confidently in you” (Amplified). Philippians 4:6,7 “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite request), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God And God’s peace shall be yours…” (Amplified).
Dwelling on your problem and not looking to God for the solution will only cause you anger and worry. If you place your attention on God, He will provide rest, joy and peace for your soul.
