Freedom Is Yours
“And he was teaching in one of the
synagogues on the Sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman, which had a
spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in
no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and
said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid
hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God”
(Luke 13:10-13). Can you imagine what it must have
felt like to this woman, after eighteen year to be able to stand up
straight? To be able to gaze
into the eyes of Jesus, which was so filled with love and compassion and
realize He really cared for her. The Father cares for us as
well. He loves us with the
same love and compassion that He showed this daughter of Abraham. His desire is to set us free from
our every bondage regardless of what it may
be.
