“Then Abraham looked up and glanced around, and behold, behind him was a roam caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up for a burnt offering and an ascending sacrifice instead of his son! So Abraham called the name of the place The Lord Will Provide. And it is said to this day, on the mount of the Lord it will be provided” (Genesis 22:13,14, Amplified).

Abraham faced the ultimate test of faith when God asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac.  But Abraham believed and trusted God to keep his promises even though there was no evidence; he expressed faith in God’s ability to provide and God proved His faithfulness.

God continues to make provisions for us.  He provided Jesus, His only son as a sacrifice for our sin in order that we might live and enjoy life as God intended from the beginning.  He provided the Holy Spirit as a helper and a guide to lead us into all truth.
