If You Are

"Then the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, order this stone to turn into a loaf [of bread] " (Luke 4:3).

Continually your identity is attacked. Circumstances come up, people say or do unkind things and in your ear a thought arises "If you are Godly then". All the devil can do is challenge our identity, he can not steal what we will not let him have. He knows if we begin to loose who we are in God we are at his mercy.

When Jesus was in the wilderness He had a choice to allow His identity to be stolen or to stand on what God the Father said. He realized that the truth of the spoken word would silence the enemy. It is your testimony and the blood of the lamb that causes you to overcome. "And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing] " (Revelation 12:11).

You can not allow your mind to dwell on the IF but you must dwell on the WHO. He is your peace, your righteousness, your love, your joy, your very life. Do not allow enemies to come and steal who you are in Him. When the IF comes loudly answer "But God says....".
