Forget The Past
Your past is not fatal; mistakes are not final; failure is
not the end. God’s call on your life
is an eternal matter, given before the foundation of the world. God’s deposit in you is non-refundable, and
His call is irrevocable. He does not
change His mind, and is not worried about His decision.
Are you willing to pursue what you know is His call on your life, even though you have made mistakes and encountered a set back? Will you begin to flesh back because of a setback? Or will you come back in the power of the Spirit, and rise above the mistake, attacking the enemy and pulling down the negative strongholds in your life, while establishing power filled positive spiritual strongholds?
Forget the past! Forget the past! Forget the past!
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our
sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will
forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from
all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose,
thought, and action]” (1 John
1:9, AMP). We must receive the
forgiveness of God, and forgive ourselves.
Our standards are not higher than God’s. God has declare a year of jubilee, release from the past.
Forget the past! Forget the past! Forget the past!
“Not that I have now attained [this idea], or have already
been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that
for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His
own. I do not consider, brethren, that
I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one
aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies
ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize
to which God in Christ is calling us upward.
So let those [of us] who are spiritually mature and full grown have this
mind and hold these convictions; and if in any respect you have a different
attitude of mind, God will make that clear to you also. Only let us hold true to what we have
already attained and walk and order our lives by that” (Phil
3:12-16, AMP).
